DZME (1530 kHz Metro Manila) Radyo Uno is an AM station owned and operated by Capitol Broadcasting Center in the Philippines. The station's studio is located at 5/F Victory Central Mall, Victory Liner Compound, 717 Rizal Avenue Extension, Monumento, Caloocan City, and its transmitter is located at # 78 Kalye Plamingco, Brgy. Panghulo, Obando, Bulacan. Operates Monday to Friday from 4:00am to midnight, and Weekends from 5:00am to Midnight except Holy Week of each year where it goes off the air on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday and resumes broadcasting on Black Saturday.
DZME started its broadcast on June 15, 1968 when the Congress authorized Capitol Broadcasting Center of Jose M. Luison and Sons to operate an AM radio station nationwide. In 1996, a new group of investors took over, promising to continue the tradition of excellence to the next millennium. For over 30 years now, DZME has chronicled the Filipino’s passion for good life and their aspirations for good government, In 2009, DZME has moved into its new studios at the Victory Mall in Caloocan City from its old base in Roosevelt Avenue, Quezon City as part of its plan to expand operations. Regional affiliates are likewise being developed to bolster its nationwide presence, as well as the launching of its new 50,000 watt solid state transmitter to further boost its signal to reach Luzon.
